I believe learning art should be both enjoyable and rewarding. While developing strong technical skills takes practice, the creative process itself should remain engaging, inspiring, and fun.
 

I offer private and semi-private instruction from my studio in Tijeras, New Mexico, as well as virtual lessons via Zoom. I have taught students ranging in age from 5 to 70+ and welcome artists of all experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced students seeking to refine their skills.
 

Instruction is available in drawing, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting. Drawing from a foundation in traditional observational training, I focus on helping students develop the core skills that support realistic and expressive artwork, including observation, drawing accuracy, form, value, composition, color theory, and paint handling techniques.
 

Lessons are tailored to each student's individual goals and interests. Whether you would like structured assignments to build foundational skills or guidance on a personal project, instruction is customized to support your artistic growth and creative vision.
